Resignation

It was with regret that Councillor Mrs. B. White’s letter of resignation was accepted.  Mrs. White was thanked for her service to the community over several years, and specifically for her contribution in auditing the accounts and the development of the play equipment.

06/48

Declarations of Interest

Mrs. Radcliffe declared an interest in Planning Applications 2006/0287 and 2006/0411, and left the room during discussion on these items.

06/49

Special Meeting

A special Meeting was held prior to the main agenda to meet Mr. Jeff Green and Mr Kahn Prince, to discuss the proposed 20 mph speed limit outside the school.

Mr. Green provided statistics on vehicle speed at various times and options to reduce the speed limit.

Pennard Community Council were of the view that while they agreed in principle to a 20 mph speed limit during the school hours, it was not appropriate for a 20 mph speed limit seven days a week, 52 weeks of the year, simply because this was the cheapest option.

It was agreed that Mr. Green is to look at a solution more in keeping with the views of the whole community.

06/50

Minutes of 16th March 2006
