Committee met on the 30th October 2006 and proposed a budget which
had been circulated with the agenda. The
budget was agreed, with a precept for 2007/90 of �50,000.00, the tax base for
Band �D� equivalent properties being �34.77. |

Gower Medical Practice had given notice to end
their lease at the end of February 2007 and asked that in order not to
compromise patient care, they be allowed the use of the premises on a
week-by-week basis, subject to the Community Council finding new
tenants.� This was agreed. The Clerk reported that the Area Health Authority
advised that their budget would not be finalised until January 2007, that no
progress made with the Welsh Assembly about Capital Grants for dentists, and
that the dentist who had expressed an interest in the surgery was now in
negotiations with the Gower Medical Practice for accommodation in their new
premises. |

be asked if the premises are more suitable as a Library than their current

Dr.
Waymark reported that the pavement edge at the rear of the hall now levelled
off with tarmac and that with the realignment of the outside light, no
additional flood lighting is required.�

Waymark reported that a meeting is to be arranged early in the New Year with
the School, Library and Surgery about the problems associated with youths
congregating in the hall car park and the building materials which have
accumulated near the fence. |

of the City and County of Swansea about the drainage to the hall car park. |

was agreed that from 1st April 2007, hall charges be increased by
50p for the large hall and �1.00 for the small hall. |

was suggested that the gateposts to the hall be painted. |

Letters
had been received from the South Wales Police and Neighbourhood Watch asking
that a room be made available in the hall for the two Police Community
Support Officers dedicated to Southgate, Pennard and Kittle.� It was agreed that temporary accommodation
would be made available.� Any further
arrangements would be dependent on the future lease of the surgery. |

floodlight will be made good when the weather improves. |

was reported that following a match with Dunvant AFC, some vandalism had
taken place in the changing room.� It
was agreed that an account of �50.00 be sent to Dunvant AFC for remedial
action, and a formal complaint made to the Welsh Junior Football League. |

Chairman of the Footpaths Committee due to pressure of work.� Ms. Gerke duly appointed to Chair. |
