The minutes of the Hall Committee meeting of 10th January 2009 had been circulated and approved.

 

 

 

Decision of Council

        The City and County of Swansea had requested use of the hall for the European Elections on 4th June 2009.This was agreed.

        The electrical safety check identified potential wiring problems which the Hall Committee would pursue.

        A sign to be fixed on the door leading from the main hall to the small hall about �Meeting in Progress�.

The minutes of the Environment Committee on 6th January 2009 were circulated and approved.

 

 

 

Decisions of Council

        That the Clerk writes to the City and County of Swansea requesting that dog bins on Westcliff and opposite 42 Linkside Drive be emptied more frequently.

        That Pennard Community Council liaise with Kittle Residents Association on the next litter pick.

        That the Produce Market organisers be allowed to spend up to �150.00 on further advertising.

        That the outstanding items about litter bins, street signs and bus shelters identified in the Environment Committee Minutes, be referred to the City and County of Swansea and Councillor Mrs. Smith

Councillor Weeks reported that a quotation was being sought for concrete strips on which future memorial stones be placed.

Noted letter of appreciation for the forthcoming grant from the Vicar about ground maintenance.

 

 

 

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Councillor Smith gave a verbal report on the Police and Communities Together (PACT) Meeting held that evening.Discussion centered on the problems of cattle.The conclusion reached was that no further action can be taken by the relevant authorities unless Pennard Golf Club agrees that their land be fenced.Mr. C. L. to be advised of the outcome of these discussions.

        It was agreed that the Council pay the �190.00 delegates fee for the Clerk to attend the SLCC Conference at Stoke-on-Trent on Friday, 27th February and Saturday, 28th February 2009.

 

 

        The Clerk to see if reimbursement can be made from the SLCC Glamorgan Branch.

        Noted the Newsletters of Clerk & Councils Direct and One Voice Wales.
