COMMUNITY CHANNEL Mrs. James reported that the costs of the Community Channel had increased, and that all participating Councils be asked to contribute an additional £100.00 p.a., making a total contribution for 2008/09 of £130.00. This was agreed. |

HALL Complaint A letter of complaint had been received from Mr. D. Harris-Jones about a Member. (For this item the public were excluded due to the personal nature of the complaint). |

A copy of the letter was circulated to all Members. It was agreed that the Chair and
Clerk send a suitable letter of reply to the complainant and the Member about
whom the complaint had been made, also send a letter of apology for any
distress inadvertently caused. |

The Minutes of Hall Committee held on 11.10.08 were circulated. Decision of Council: a) the sign outside the Hall be bi-lingual b)
the electricity metering system be changed with Squiggles
Nursery having the prime meter and responsibility for the whole electricity
supply for the building, with a sub-meter in the hall. The Council will then reimburse the tenant
for the portion of electricity used by the Council. |

c) Gower Festival - agree that they have free use of the hall on 23rd July 2009. d) Revised hall fees - agreed with effect from 1st April 2009 (see Appendix 1). |

BURIAL GROUND |
|
|
|
Appeal Against Council Policy Mr. J. of Tower Court, Townhill, appealed against Council policy that Pennard Community Burial Ground be reserved for residents of the Ward. Mr. J. lived in Pennard until four years ago. He has terminal cancer and wanted to be buried in the same burial ground as his parents. (Plot 267). |

Grave 160 This grave exceeds the existing rules about size of memorials. Tree & Gubb, who put on a new inscription recently, are not prepared to lower the memorial so that it is less conspicuous. Decision of Council: Defer for further consideration. |
