MODIFICATIONS TO THE UNITARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN |
Concern expressed about the possible additional influx of caravans to Gower under the proposed modification order. Agreed to express concern to the City and County of Swansea about: |
· up to 500 more caravans being allowed in Gower, which dramatically overturns current policies which work effectively. · the main problem appears to be that site owners allow static caravans to stay on site even when unoccupied, thus preventing sites being available for the genuine mobile caravans. · Gower is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and does need protection by the City and County of Swansea for the benefit of everyone. A 10% increase in the number of caravans in Gower will seriously undermine this fragile situation. |
