Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 7th December 2004

1.        Declaration of interests.  none
2.       Minutes of the last meeting: Approved
3.        National Trust.  Letter from Sian Musgrave indicating their intention to submit a planning application for the redirection of the track leading to the Old Rectory due to the erosion on the edge of the Warren.  NT Gower Newsletter December 2004
Notice of intention to fence Common Land.  Areas in question not in Rhossili.  Sign and return duplicate letter.

4.        Footpaths. Awaiting reply from Steve Parry.  Decision made not to support recent request of re-direction of path in Llangennith other than round the farm buildings.

5.        Highways and flooding.  No letters sent from last meeting due to communication break down.  RD to write about the following: Chevron at Margam Corner & top of Pitton Hill.  Request potholes to be filled at bus stop in Rhossili, outside village hall, Pitton crossroads, junction of West Pilton Farm and B4247.  Request bench in vicinity of bus stop in Rhossili.  Replace bulb in street light at Pitton.

6.        Village Hall and Car Park.  ST found papers relating to purchase of car park.  Another 20K has to be found to cover VAT.  Lougor Band on 17/12/04.  SW making further investigations as to whether RCC can legally donate car park to Village Hall.

7.        Clerk.  RD suggested that ST become full-time clerk.  Mail is still going to Gordon, despite requests fro it to be sent to ST.  Therefore items arriving late.  RD proposed that SW and ST should work out how long they are spending on RCC work, outside meetings to arrange expenses.
8.        Illegal Caravans.  RB informed that illegal caravan opposite Kimley Moor had been flattened and disposed of today.

9.        Newsletter.  Items have been submitted and production is imminent.

10.     SCC Archives.  ST has deposited many items into Archives.  Awating acknowledgement.
11.     WA vision for public services (consultation)  RB to locate and comment on next meeting

12.     One Voice Wales(replacement of Federation).  Swansea Area Committee meeting Wed 24/11/04 7pm – late due to mail problem 

13.     Planning applications. 2004/2572 Barn at South Pilton Farm – RCC has no objections

2004/1312 Bellendaine – recommended for refusal
2004/1818 Agricultural building Middleton – recommended for approval
2004/2142 Newpark detached garage – APPROVED
2004/2126 Newpark change of use from A3 to C3 APPROVED
2004/2246 Caravan rally Field 2346 10-12th June 2005 APPROVED
2004/2031 Garage & side extension – APPROVED

14.     Finance.  Precept to be discussed at next meeting.  Accounts for 2004 have been submitted.  Accounts for 2003 have been approved.

15.     Correspondence.  Countryside Council for Wales – The Countryside Access Provisional & Conclusive maps
