5.       Matters arising:  none that are not covered elsewhere on the agenda

6.       National Trust: SJ wrote to say that FP 31 ends at edge of common and does not go through South Pilton Farmyard.  SP has been around the land with NT to agree locations of stiles and dog gates as land will be open access.  Also, tenants on the Vile have suffered significant acts of vandalism and theft.  A pig has been stolen, hay bales burnt, 4 rows of potatoes have been pulled up at Castle Park and vegetables are stolen on a regular basis.  Everyone wants the Vile to be farmed, but these acts are putting that at risk.  Can the community keep a watch out to ensure that it does not happen?  If anyone has information or is willing to be a witness, they should contact the NT on 390636.  Any information given is confidential.  Newsletter item.

7.       Footpaths: Letter to SP re. bagged dog poo left at side of footpaths.  SP says he doesn’t now what the solution is, but they are aware of the problem across Gower.  RB bought 100 FP leaflets RB cheque for £25.  NCI bought 40 and have sent cheque for £10.

8.       Highways:  No response to email.  Can we ask for reply on movement on chevron.  Also cut on dangerous places in Gower.  Highlight that there has been a few smashes on Pitton hill recently.  Write to Cabinet member for the Environment Cllr. John Hague and cc Richard Lewis re. cutting.  Cost would be minimal and only needs to be done in dangerous areas where roads are narrow and pedestrians are at risk.

9.       Village Hall & car park: OVW says there is no solicitor to act on our behalf re. sale of land and we need to enlist our own.  RD will get quotes for solicitor.  SW suggested using village hall solicitor.  Agreed.  SW or JF to provide details to ST.  SW reported that work is taking place on stage in old hall.  Strawberry Fayre made over £1000.  Match funded by Barclays to £750.  SW said that £8K made from bunkhouse so far.
