Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 11th September 2007 

 

1.       Attendance: Rob Dyer (RD) (Chair), Roger Button (RB), Nicola Rees (NR), Anne Morse-Jones (AMJ), Sally Beynon (SB), Selina Taylor (ST) (Clerk)

4.       Minutes of the last meeting: Approved.

5.       Matters arising:  none that are not covered elsewhere on the agenda

6.       National Trust: Peninsula newsletter

7.       Footpaths: RB bought 100 FP leaflets RB cheque for £25.  NCI bought 60 and have been invoiced for £15.  AMJ mentioned dangerous stile down to Fall Bay. 

8.       Highways:  Letter sent to John Hague via Richard Lewis.  Letter of receipt from RL.  RD mentioned hedge at rhs at top of Pitton Hill and will try to speak to owner if he sees them.  AMJ mentioned surface water by Kimley Moor.  Letter to Highways to consider some remedial work to ensure prompt drainage of the main road between Pilton Green and Pitton Cross.  AMJ mentioned a dip in the road opposite Village Hall outside Jessamine Farmyard, RD said will keep an eye on it.  DL mentioned stream bed below Sheep Green becoming blocked with debris and will ultimately cause a problem.  Ask Highways to clear.  Also ask for a painted SLOW sign on the approach to Rhossili prior to the corner of the Rhossili Gallery and a bend sign.

9.       Village Hall & car park: SW or JF to provide solicitor details to ST. 

10.    WA correspondence: Local vision, preparing community strategies – revised community strategy guidance consultation by 23/11/07 – no action.  A shared community – consultation on relationship building measures and charters for unitary authority and community and town councils – respond by 03/12/07 – no action.

11.    One Voice Wales: Policy on unacceptable actions by individuals passed to RD.  The Voice newsletter.  Agenda for meeting 11/10/07.  AGM 13/10/07. 

12.    Planning applications: 2007/0104 Pylewell Farmhouse has been REFUSED.  2007/0659 Corner House Farm and 2007/1204 has been APPROVED.
2007/1623 Mewslade View – RCC have no objections.
2007/1621 Clifflands - RCC have no objections.
2007/1820 Field 6512 - RCC have no objections.
2007/1927 Greystones - RCC have no objections.
2007/1621 Clifflands - RCC have no objections.
2007/1511 Ship Farm - RCC have no objections.

13.    Finance:  Payment requisition for 31/08/07 £630 to be passed to SW.    Annual statement showing accounts as of 31/03/07.  RD proposed that it is a true record of the accounts, unanimously agreed.

14.    Correspondence:  Presentations from Community Councils Forum, Welsh Education Scheme 2006-2011, The Environment Centre offering to talk to us, Gower Society 2007 Design Awards, Commons Commissioners, Parliamentary newsletter,  Community Councils Froum, Clerk & Councils Direct
