8.       Highways:  Hole outside Church Park has been filled.  Letter to Gordon Jones thanking for co-operation and say made life a lot easier for a number of the residents.  Westbound chevron at Margam Corner was damaged sometime ago and has disappeared and it is an accident black spot and one from Scurlage to Newton Lodge is covered in ivy.  CB mentioned single cut on hedges is dangerous in certain places, and should be cut twice for safety of pedestrians.  On many of the main roads where there is no pavement the hedge is allowed to encroach over the highway causing pedestrians to walk wider in the highway.  It can be suggested that a second cut is made in certain dangerous areas only to avoid this problem?

9.       Village Hall & car park: RD left message with Swinnerton’s asking him to get in touch.  Letter from Swinnerton’s solicitor re. sale of land wanting clarification on sale and if we have a solicitor.  Letter to OVW asking about a solicitor who can act on our behalf?  SW reported that hall is booked for most weekends and seems to be going well.  Have made £5K so far.  Slight teething problems with how bookings are handled at the moment.
