SWANSEA COUNCIL  MATTERS.
Cllr. Hood-Williams advised that there were five candidates for the Fairwood ward of Swansea Council, and currently little Council activity in view of the election.

HALL  MANAGEMENT
Mrs Phillips reported on the latest Hall Management Committee meeting. The Gardening Club have installed a light in their new area. The Hall alarm had been set off a number of occasions recently, and Mr Mowbray would be provided with a fob to turn this off, together with keys to the Hall. The Caretaker has carried out some painting in the Hall. He has also expressed concern about a youth using a stunt bike on the Council land, and has advised the Police Community Support Officer. There had also been some problems with golf balls. In accordance with a recommendation from the Committee, it was resolved to purchase two items of equipment for the Play-Area from Playdale.

PLANNING
Cllr Hood-Williams left at this point.
It was resolved to support an application at Lexington,
Blackhills Lane
for a car-port, as being an improvement which did not adversely affect neighbours. It was noted that the recent applications at 770 Gower Road and Fairwood Park Golf Club had been approved,  and that there were conditions attached to the latter in respect of highway safety, an aspect which had been of concern to the Council. An enquiry had been made of Swansea Council as to whether there had been a breach of planning control at a property in Gower Road.
Cllr. Hood-Williams returned.
