MATTERS  ARISING  None

SWANSEA  COUNCIL  MATTERS

Cllr. Hood-Williams advised that there was little to report, in view of the recent General Election.

HALL  MANAGEMENT

Mrs. Phillips had submitted a report of the latest Hall Management meeting, noting that work had been carried out to the pond and also in marking the car park. However the soil in the proposed allotment area was too shallow for gardening.  Mr Low suggested raised beds, but it was feared that the cost of topsoil would be prohibitive. The Chairman then mentioned the 60’s night, which all felt had been a success, and particular gratitude was expressed to Mrs. Phillips for her hard work in organising this. Also the D-J was thanked for his support at a beneficial rate. A further event would be considered.  Mr Porter queried whether the Village might hold a produce market or car boot sale, and these ideas would be referred to Hall Management Committee. Further work was to be carried out at the pond, and Hall Management Committee would consider increasing the notice board space at the Hall.

PLANNING

Cllr Hood-Williams left at this point. An application for a detached garage extension at Middle Killay Farm was considered, which would involve incorporation of the site into the residential curtliage. Mr. Ley declared a personal and prejudicial interest. It was agreed there was no change in the Council’s previous view to support this development.

Cllr. Hood-Williams returned.
