Your Feedback about the site generally:

Lynda James Pennard 30-09-2011
This feedback page is for feeback on the site or general items related to the site. If you have any specific items concerning an area or community council then please contact them directly via the relevant clerk or one of the councilors. We had to remove the forum page as it was using an excessive amount of the webcontroller\'s time removing spam and inappropriate messages. To continue it would have become a costly excercise for all the community councils concerned.

Disgruntled resident Pennard Pennard 21-09-2011
Great to see that the community were neither consulted nor involved in the development of the playing fields... The boules area is unused... 500 well spent? The new sign concerning dogs being banned is ridiculous and contravenes the law... I have had this point ratified by Swansea Council, a local councillor and also the local Police... Another waste of £280 of our community money... The issue with dog fowling is also a priority for me...I have had the discussion about dog fowling with George Nash on many occasions. I feel penalized for irresponsible dog owners (non resident might I add i.e.. Dogs with football supporters and teams from elsewhere) who do not pay a sur charge on their council tax for having the luxury of playing fields near to their own homes... I see hat the community council has £45,000 in the account... I then wonder why I have received a bill from the council for the maintenance of Park & Burrows Road ...without any contribution from the Community Council ...who no doubt, will be happy to use the roads as they choose eg. Carnival weekend.... As a member of this community, I feel unheard and underrepresented. Too few people make the rules which the majority have to endure. In opinion, the Community Council is a waste of resources, my taxes and should be disbanded as as happened in Dunvant. Any more of this dogmatic and arrogant decision making, and I may well consider initiating a petition as I am aware of many other who despair. No doubt this post will be censored ...as have other posts I have made in a vain attempt to get my voice heard. Nonetheless, I though I\'d take the trouble to comment ... After all, this is my community too. Regards

I\'m disappointed at the hypocrisy ... I am informed that the playing field is multiple use...multiple does not include my four legged friend getting her daily exercise but does include many random dogs at the Scruffs Contest. I am a responsible dog owner and member of this community. The only other multiple use I have for the park is the daily collection of rubbish left by other multiple users.

I work as a journalist and press officer and was keen to find out what\'s happening with community councils in Gower. But a numnber of the sites I visited on June 6 were showing that their next meetings would take place in April. Others had no archived minutes available. One website had an interview with the person who was chairman in 2008. There was also information with no year so I was unsure whether it related to this year or was out of date material. While I think that the idea of having a joint website for the Gower is excellent, unless each council updates its site regularly and puts on relevant information, it will be a dead loss. Nobody can trust any of the information contained because of fears that it may all be out of date and irrelevant.

john meir esq llanrhidian higher 18-04-2011
This web site is 12 months out of date of little use to tax payers and a complete waste of ratepayers money

john meir llanrhidian higher 18-04-2011
18th April 2011 and clicked on llanrhidian higher out of interest as I live in the area, what a joke! to be told the next community council meeting is Thursday 17th Febuary 2011 are they real, what are they about, do we actually need to pay our taxes for what!

once again I was left stranded at the bus stop in Park Road waiting for no.17 bus. I contacted many people about this matter as to why the bus is not coming up Mt. Street and have the same reply Road works. Yesyerday the buses were on time yet suddenly once again they have stopped. Also enquire why the said road works in Mount street are taking so long The notice on the side of the road outside the school says road closed from the 4th January for two weeks it is now March

I tottaly disagree with sand dredging. I think that another material should be used for bricks. Gower SOS RULE!

Simon White One Voice Wales 05-11-2008

Gail Hanlin Swansea 29-09-2008
Hi - Gail Hanlin from Swansea Council for Voluntary Service here - Glad to see that you\'ve listed us in your useful contacts, but you\'ve put us under City & County of Swansea - we aren\'t anything to do with the Council, but are in fact an independant charity which exists to support the voluntary sector in swansea. Could you put us in the miscellaneous section to avoid confusion? Thanks, Gail Hanlin Marketing & Information Coordinator Swansea Council for Voluntary Service

There is some good information on this web site, good work. It is also pleasing to see more sand on gower beaches (especially oxwich) this year.

Alison Heal Grovesend and Waungron 10-03-2008
I would like to know how to get Grovesend and Waungron (just north of Gorseinon)Community Council on this website please

a resident Llangennith 24-10-2007
regarding Llangennith and their \"state of the art\" computer room, unfortunately the rift in the village is now so large, that the computer room fell in it! ho ho. Maybe when we have an ALL NEW comittee, (promised years ago but unfortunately, no one told the comittee), then maybe the locals will start using the hall, and its\' (by then) outdated computer room.

Mr Ben Wigley Oxwich Green 24-10-2007
I have been informed by Mr Alan Glass Penrice cc that I should inform you that I cannot receive Broadband reception at my address Cornerstones Oxwich Green SA3 1 LU. Yours sincerely Ben Wigley

John Beach Newton, Mumbles 30-07-2007
What a great site. It only goes to show that you can be part of the system to keep Gower in the forefront of local and International interest. We must fight to keep the sands on Gower beaches also keep the front along Mumbles clear of obstructions and the 'bendy bus'. Make Mumbles/Oystermouth a one-way system. If you have any comments please post them to www.mumbles.gov.uk

Mr Chris Evans Bishopston 19-05-2007

Neighbour Watch] What community watch? its obviosly not working. I live alone I locked myself out, I cannot ask neighbours to help so late, so I had to break in with a flower pot and a rod from the pond, and then a brick. I am totally distresed and alone. I have covered my window with some plastic. So where was the comunity help or notice did any one phone the police when they heard the glass breaking that took me three goes to break Regards Joy Dorr

E Williams Llangennith 14-09-2006

A very handy web site, but where are the other C.C. I thought LLangennith would be using this web site with their \"state of the art\" computer room in the Hall.

Gower CC website responds...
Thanks for your comments. The Gower Community Councils' website is open for all Community Councils in the Swansea area to join and all Councils in Gower have been notified on more than one occasion. If your Community Council is not currently represented and you think that they should be, then why not lobby your Councillors?

Malcolm Robertson Reynoldston 10-09-2006

I was suprised that you do not have details of Reynoldston C.C. I have found your site very useful, the Planning Applications are of interest. Have you considered displaying the photos of local C.C.?

Gower CC website responds...
Thanks for your comments. We have considered photos of the councillors, most of which are camera shy, but we are looking into it.

C D Prosser Reynoldston 28-08-2006
A very useful web site for the people of Gower. Well done Gerald.

malcolm robertson reynoldston 26-08-2006
Dear Sir, I found your site very interesting, hower I was unable to locate the \"Reynoldston CC Area\" on your web site. More details about my local CC officers would be of interest. Best Regards Malcolm Robertson

Roger Parmiter Sketty 21-08-2006
A very useful website for everyone interested in Gower! Is it possible for local representatives and councillors to volunteer a picture of themselves for inclusion on this site? I look forward to links with all community websites.

Margaret Munn Australia 19-06-2006

Born and bred in Penclawdd, I follow local items and it would be wonderful if Planning Items could be accessed.... Can\'t pop in to view the plans from here... Thanks

Gower CC website responds...
Thanks for your comments. We don't think that it is viable for us to display the plans of every planning application. Maybe that is something that Swansea City Council could consider?

Peter Norman Pennard 03-02-2006
The sites are overdue but I\'m impressed! If the aim is really to get involvment of the community, we need a forum. What are you afraid of? We all have opinions; Why not some banter on proposals and decisions of those who are supposed to represent us?

john hayes gorseinon 27-01-2006
Pleased to see that Gorseinon is now on the web site.Hope to see the site develop over coming months - well done

Sue Jones Gowerton 03-10-2005
Good start to this new venture. Hope all Community Councils in the Swansea area take this idea on board -Good luck for the future.

john s mills penclawdd 01-10-2005
It is nice to see that the gower community councils are coming into the 21st century. I look forward to the growth of this web site and wish you good luck in your endeavours.

Meg Llanrhidian Higher 01-10-2005
What a good idea to have a web site with community council information. We will look foreward to seeing information on Llanrhidian Higher. May we suggest that if there are currently no planning applications in the area to put on the site that a note to that affect is shown. Otherwise people may just think that the site is not being kept up to date.

Shirley Williams Mayhill 01-10-2005
Hi. Just been into your new Gower Website. Very impressed. It\'s nice to read all our local news etc. Would like to see this being set up for Swansea, Townhill, Mayhill and other local areas. Good luck. Shirley
